Chinook Rearing and Acclimation Pond

Electron Hydro has constructed a new rearing and acclimation pond facility for salmon enhancement immediately below the diversion. The pond will typically hold young fish for 2-3 months of growth and acclimation and then be released to the Puyallup River.

On April 8, 2020 the Puyallup Tribe Fisheries Department stocked Electron's pond with over 320,000 young Chinook Salmon.  These Chinook smolt were released into the river on May 29, 2020!
